French Cuts:

		Brazil Beryl   Slightly silky white Beryl/Goshenite from Brazil. The tiniest gems of this newsletter cut in the French Cut #6. 0.20 cts., 3.6 x 3.6 x 2.7 mm 35.-

		Tanzanian Rhodolite   The medium light example of these 3 Tanzanian Rhodolites, also not a classical French Cut. Perfectly clean and with obviously better light-return sue to a second row of facets at the crown. 0.80 cts., 4.9 x 4.9 x 3.7 mm 65.-

		Tanzanian Rhodolite   The lightest one of these 3 Rhodolites with 3 rows of facets at the crown. Shows the warm red colour so well. Perfectly clean. 0.83 cts., 4.9 x 4.9 x 4.0 mm 85.-

		Brazil Aquamarine   Heavily included but so nice coloured brazil Aquamarine. The simple mirror-cut plays with dark and lights reflections as well with the clouds. 1.21 cts., 6.4 x 6.4  x 5.1 mm 95.-

		Brazil Aquamarine   Very light blue Aquamarine from Brazil in a 2-fold mirror-cut. Very good clarity and strong contrasts. 0.77 cts., 5.4 x 5.4 x 4.1 mm 65.-

		Tanzanian Rhodolite   Warm red and strong silky Rhodolite from Tanzania. Faceted into the slightly swirling "French Cut 5" . 1.23 cts., 5.4 x 5.4 x 4.7 mm $ 75.-

		Manmade Blue Quartz   From my faceter friend  Georg G. I received a manmade Crystal of Blue Quarz from Russia. The "French Cut 2" works well and let the light blue colour shine. 3.23 cts., 8.6 x 7.4 mm $ 95.-

		Australian Zircon   Remarkable how heavy the Zircons are compared with other gemstones! From an US-dealer I got a little lot of nearly colourless australian Zircons. There is just a soft champagner hue visible and the double refraction is very decent while viewed from above. One small veils otherwise clean. 0.85 cts., 4.5 x 4.5 x 3.8 mm $ 65.-

		Tunduru Pink Garnet   From the same "Tunduru Gravel Bag" is this pink Garnet with its dominant Rutile needle. "French Cut #1" with table. 0.45 cts., 4.0 x 4.0 x 3.1 mm $ 45.-

		Antsirabe Tourmaline   Just a hand ful of unusual coloured Tourmalines have been found in a pegmatite near Antsirabe in Madagascar. Most have earthy colours in incandescent light but turn to much more vivid in daylight. This is salmon to copper and was cut into the classical "French Cut". Some little internals but nothing to see with unaided eyes.. 0.62 cts., 4.9 x 4.9 x 3.6 mm $ 75.-

		Brazil Golden Beryl   Very often when I purchase rough stones there are tinies like thin needle-like Beryl-crystals. Easy for faceting Baguettes but I don't like those too much. Much better are the French Cuts, here the #1 with a nicegolden colour and only some minor internals.. 0.61 cts., 5.1 x 5.1 x 3.8 mm $ 60.-

		Tanzanian Rhodolite   A new type of "French Cut" that is close to the standard design for bohemian Pyropes done is a slightly included Rhodolite from Tanzania. Surprisingly high light return. 1.74 cts., 6.7 x 5.1 mm $ 65.-

		Greyish Chalcedony   Same French Cur in a warm greyish Chalcedony of an unknown origin. Just a test cut to see how this will look in strong silky material: just nice! 0.35 cts., 4.6 x 4.6 x 3.5 mm $ 25.-

		Brazil Lemon Citrine   The twisted French Cut #5 in a light Lemon Citrine, perfectly clean. 0.71 cts., 5.2 x 5.2 x 4.3 mm $ 55.-

		Madagascan Rhodolite   The French Cut #8 is still a typical FC but has also some aspects that shows the trend to the Princess Cut. So it is somethere between both. The madagascan Rhodolite came out as a vivid & lovely gem with great clarity. 0.64 cts., 4.3 x 4.3 x 3.7 mm $ 65.-

		Tanzanian Rhodolite   A typical dark red Rhodolite from Tanzania faceted in the French Cut #2, eyeclean. 0.88cts., 4.7 x 4.7 x 4.1 mm $ 65.-

		Madagascan Aquamarine   Ambohimasima in Madagascar has  some good coloured and strong silky Aquamarines. And I love silky gems. This was very blocky like a cube the roght shape for the French Cut #8 with a higher crown. 9.12 cts., 11.0 x 11.0 x 10.9 mm $ 385.-
